Gunmen hold up Church's Chicken, one arrested

PHENIX CITY, AL (WTVM) –  Phenix City Police say one man is behind bars for allegedly robbing a Church's Chicken restaurant.

Now police need the public's help in finding a second suspect.

Police say the armed robbery happened late Thursday night at the Church's Chicken on U.S. Highway 280 Bypass.

Two gunmen robbed the store while employees were preparing to close just before midnight, then fled on foot.

Following a foot chase, police arrested 24-year-old Anthony Randolph of Hurtsboro, AL. The second suspect got away.  

In addition, investigators were able to recover a weapon that was tossed in the woods.  

Police say they are working on leads to identify the second suspect.
