COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) –  City officials are going after a retirement community after they say the place owes millions in property taxes.

The Columbus Board of Tax Assessors says Spring Harbor at Green Island owes more than $6 million in property taxes.

The Medical Center Hospital Authority which owns the property filed a lawsuit in 2007 contending it is exempt from paying the taxes.
