Chocolate truffle recall

ATLANTA - Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Tommy Irvin alerts consumers to the recall of some chocolate truffles that may contain peanut butter not listed on the product label.

Moonstruck Chocolate Co., Portland, Ore., is recalling its 4-piece Cream Cone Chocolate Truffle Collection and its 12-piece Chocolate Malted (or Malt) Cream Cone Chocolate Truffles. 

The products may contain peanut butter that is not listed as an ingredient on the product label.

Those with an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.

The products were distributed nationwide to retailers and through Moonstruck Chocolate Cafés.  The truffles were also sold directly to consumers from moonstruckchocolate.com.

The chocolates truffles have the Best if enjoyed by (dates): 11/2/2010 through 11/15/2010.

The Cream Cone Chocolate Truffle Collection that contains four cream cones in a box has the UPC code of 711175011042.  The 12-piece Chocolate Malted (or Malt) Cream Cone Chocolate Truffle has the UPC code 711175103549.
