Salvation Army to open new store Sept. 1

Press Release

COLUMBUS, GA - A new thrift store operated by The Salvation Army in Columbus opens  Wednesday, Sept 1.

The new location at 615 Manchester Expressway at River Road replaces the former Salvation Army store on Veterans Parkway.

"The new Salvation Army store will better serve the community in a more convenient location; and in a newer, more shopper-friendly facility. Both are a plus as people look to stretch their dollars amid economic stress," said Captain Art Fultz, local Salvation Army Corps Officer.

The site is also a convenient center for donations of clothing, furniture, and household items.

The store's sales figure significantly in supporting The Salvation Army's services to struggling families and homeless in Muscogee County.
