Teen robbed at laundry mat

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  Columbus Police tell News Leader 9 a 13-year-old was the victim of an armed robbery.  The Eddy Middle School student was at Ace Laundry Mat on Victory Drive around 9:00 a.m. Wednesday.

The teen told police three suspects approached him.

Police reports indicate the suspects took $95.00 worth of items including a pair of polo shoes, a pair of Georgia shoes and a black backpack with an Army label.

The suspects are described as follows:

Suspect #1
18-year-old black male
light complexion
5'9"
wearing a blue shirt with an orange stripe
Mohawk and a 3 line eyebrow

Suspect #2
14  to 15-year-old black male
wearing a thin white tank top
low haircut

Suspect #3
20 to 30-year-old black malelight complexion
heavy build
6'1"
wearing a royal blue shirt and jeans

It is not known what type of weapon they used to threaten the teen. If you have any information on this crime, please call Columbus Police.

    An unknown driver took scrambled, scattered and covered to a whole new level at an Opelika waffle house. This is a photo of the Waffle House on Fox Run Parkway where a car drove into the side of the building earlier today. The manager has confirmed the location is closed for the time being but no word of when the restaurant will reopen. Authorities have not released any information on any possible injuries.
