HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - R3SM, a Pine Belt group dedicated to rebuilding homes and lives will commemorate the fifth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina with a Katrina day of service.

R3SM will have a Volunteer Day Friday, that will focus on the construction of the volunteer house, on Buschman Street. 40 to 50 volunteers from Mississippi Power are offering their help towards the progress of the home.

R3SM's goal is to complete the director's suite and the inn keeper's suite soon.

"From 8 to 4 tomorrow at the volunteer house is where the Mississippi Power volunteers are going to be working," says R3SM Board member Dee Tatum. "We are still looking for volunteers, still looking for contributions either in kind or money.  If you come to volunteer when you get to the Volunteer House you need to check in with our construction manager and his name is Arnie and he will put you to work,"

Call 601-606-5209 for more information on how to help with the Volunteer House.
