Shots fired at Columbus State University, no one hurt

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Police are investigating a shooting incident Columbus State University.

According to CSU's spokesperson, a small group of people were arguing in the parking lot of Courtyard I around 6:30 p.m. Sunday.

We are told at some point a single shot was fired.  People from the group scattered and within minutes Residence Life employees were on the scene.

Officials tell News Leader 9 a person of interest is being interviewed and there is no word on an arrest. In addition, an e-mail alert was sent to Courtyard I residents.

No one was injured in this incident. Columbus State Police and the Columbus Police Department are investigating.
