COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  Fifteen people were arrested in a beauty shop after police say they were all a part of an illegal gambling operation.

Police say the illegal gambling was going on inside Itha's Beauty Salon on Buena Vista Road early Sunday morning.

According to reports, Columbus Police investigated the business after hours and caught the 15 suspects playing poker for money.

The owner, Tony Spratt, was charged with the sale of alcohol without a license and possession of cocaine.

The following people were arrested and charged with gambling charges: Tony Spratt, Anthony Norman, Carlos Mathis, Eugenea Coy, Ronzell Mackie, Eric Tate, Melvin Braswell, Joseph Foster, Jonathan Comer, Jakeith Hodo, Alan Gettridge, Pedro Maldonado, Jimmie Hooks, Frederick Ellis, and Tamika Simmons.

The group is expected to appear in Recorder's Court Tuesday at 2:00 p.m.
