City approves crime prevention requests

COLUMBUS, GA -  The Columbus Office of Crime Prevention asked the city to approve three new programs. 

The office said it wants to put nearly $70,000 towards one-year initiatives within the Juvenile Drug Court.

It proposed in home counseling, GPS monitoring, and psychological evaluations, all of which were approved in Tuesday's city work session.

This is the Office of Crime Prevention's first grant.
