Authorities need help solving burglary at landfill

TROUP COUNTY, GA -  On Monday morning, Troup County Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to the Troup County Landfill in response to an alleged burglary which had already occurred.

The shop supervisor stated to Deputies that, upon his arrival, he had discovered a pad lock broken off of the shop's door. He also allegedly noticed that the front window of the shop had been left up approximately four inches from its rest.

Once inside the shop supervisor allegedly found several desk drawers open, along with over $350 of cash missing.

Investigators were summoned to process the scene and collect further evidence. This case remains under investigation.
