Two armed robberies point to one suspect

COLUMBUS, GA – Columbus Police are investigating two armed robberies that happened late Thursday night.

Investigators say the Mystik Mart gas station on Brown Avenue was robbed just after 10:30 p.m.

A man wearing a hooded sweat shirt came into the store carrying a pistol. Surveillance video show the suspect getting away with cash and cigarettes.

Then a little after 11:00 p.m., the Circle K gas station on 12th Avenue was robbed. The suspect ran off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

It is believed the robberies are connected. Witnesses on the scene gave police the same description of a suspect in the Mystic Mart robbery.

So far, no one has been arrested and no injuries were reported.
