Man beaten and robbed in the street

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  Columbus police are looking for the person who they say beat and robbed a man downtown.

According to police reports, the victim says he was jumped early Saturday morning at the intersection of 3rd Avenue and 23rd Street.

The suspect is descried as a black man in his mid 20s, weighing around 200 pounds and standing around 6'1'' or 6'2''. He got away with a cell phone, a gym bag and about $500 worth of prescription drugs.
