COLUMBUS, GA – The Columbus Homicide Division tells News Leader 9 a suspect has been arrested in a Columbus murder.

We are told, 19-year-old Andrew Solomon Jr. faces charges of murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

Investigators say Solomon and 17-year-old Levy Daniel had a problem in the past and encountered one another Friday night.

The two argued and Solomon allegedly shot and killed Daniel. [Click here to read "Shooting leaves Columbus teenager dead.]

Solomon is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing in Recorder's Court on Friday, September 10th at  9:00 a.m.

He is currently being held at the Muscogee County Jail.
