PHENIX CITY, AL (WTVM) - Police tell WTVM a Phenix City man has been arrested for the murder of his brother.

Back on August 28th, officials say 40-year-old Billy Wade got into a physical fight with his younger brother, 39-year-old Jack Wade, at their home on Ramsey Drive off Highway 80 in Ladonia.

According to police, Jack had been drinking and Billy did not want him to get behind the wheel.

Jack died later that night from the injuries he received during the fight.

The Phenix City Police Department just received autopsy results and Assistant Chief Bobby Casteel says they show Jack died from blunt force trauma.

Casteel would not say if Jack Wade was struck with any type of weapon or object.

Wade was arrested around 10:00 a.m. on Meritas Drive in Columbus, GA. He was charged with fugitive of justice. Wade is expected to appear before a judge before extraditing to Phenix City, AL to face murder charges.
