COLUMBUS, GA - It's that time of year again, time for the Junior League of Columbus' annual Attic Sale. This bargain hunter's paradise has become a tradition in Columbus that you don't want to miss.
This year's event will be held on Saturday, September 11 at the Columbus Civic Center. Doors open at 8 a.m., but get there early because the line usually starts forming as early as 4 a.m.! Admission to the sale is just $1.
"We are so excited about this year's sale! We have thousands of items that have been donated by league members. The Civic Center will be filled to the brim with bargains galore!" says Haley Arnold, 2010 Attic Sale Chairman.
If you want to beat the Saturday morning crowd you can come to the door buster's sale on Friday, September 10 from 6 to 8 pm. Admission is $10.00 and all sale items are doubled. Don't worry, doubled prices don't mean you won't get a great deal!
The Attic Sale is the Columbus league's biggest fundraiser of the year. Proceeds from the sale go back into the community to support programs and activities of the League. The Junior League of Columbus provides support to 15 local agencies and each year members do volunteer over 7,500 hours of their time.
This year the Attic Sale is sponsored by St. Francis Hospital, AFLAC, Burger King and Livingston Storage and Transfer Company.
The Junior League of Columbus has a current membership of approximately 750 women who are dedicated to promoting volunteerism and improving the community through action and leadership.
