COLUMBUS, GA (WXTX) - Columbus police are investigating a homicide at a home near Columbus High School.

Investigators tell us, 21-year-old Ricardo Strozier has been arrested in connection with the murder of a Columbus disc jockey.

The coroner tells News Leader 9, 25-year-old David Heath Jackson was killed at his home on Carter Avenue Tuesday afternoon.

Investigators tell us, Jackson was shot after he confronted a burglar in his home. He died from a single gunshot wound a little after 1:00 p.m.

We are told the victim's body will be sent to the state crime lab Wednesday for an autopsy.

Jackson was a disc jockey on WBOJ-FM "88.5 The Truth". Friends and family have already made funeral arrangements. [Click here to read "Friends and Family mourn loss of Columbus disc jockey".]
