Congratulations on your new addition!
The Columbus Regional Women and Children's Center, Safekids of Georgia, Columbus Coalition and the Columbus Department of Public Health would like to welcome your new baby with a free car seat.
A free car seat will be provided to those registered to deliver at The Medical Center or Doctors Hospital who complete the car seat safety class. Only one seat per baby is provided.
The most important concern during your pregnancy is your child's safety. In an effort to give you this peace of mind, we've designed a program to educate parents and caregivers on the proper installation and use of child car seats. Now when you register for prenatal classes at The Medical Center and Doctors Hospital, you also can register for car seat training and installation classes.
Once you've successfully completed the class, you'll be furnished with a new car seat – free of charge!
Car Seat Facts
Program Overview
With this unique program, we teach parents or caregivers the facts about a car seat and how to correctly install one. Those interested in receiving a new car seat will be required to attend prenatal classes along with a car seat training and installation class.
After the completion of the classes, parents or caregivers will be furnished with a new car seat; however, only one car seat per newborn child will be furnished. Those parents or caregivers who have purchased their own car seats and are interested in taking the car seat training and installation class also may register for the course by contacting the Safekids coordinator at 706-321-6183.
