COLUMBUS (WTVM) -- Local Department of Homeland Security officials are investigating the discovery of two small pyrotechnic devices at 13058 Macon Road.
Lt. Brad Hicks from Homeland Security tells News Leader Nine, the devices were found Wednesday and are commonly used in military training.
He adds they contained a minimal amount of powder. An investigation into how the devices got there and where they came from is underway.
Right now the devices are in a bunker for safe keeping. We have a crew on the scene and will bring you more details as they become available.
