COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – A Columbus man is recovering after police say he was beaten and robbed outside of his home.
It happened early Monday morning on Woodlawn Avenue which is located between Warm Springs Road and Hamilton Road.
The 43-year-old victim reported the incident early Tuesday morning.
He told police he was punched and kicked by the suspect in the street and robbed of his wallet, containing only his license and social security card.
The victim was taken to the Medical Center.
A description of the suspect is not available at this time. The case remains under investigation.
