Police search for gunmen who robbed Auburn, AL bank

AUBURN, AL - On Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at approximately 2:40 p.m. Auburn Police Division officers responded to a robbery call at Bank Trust located in the 400 block of North Dean Road. 
According to witnesses, two light-complected males attempted to enter the bank with at least one handgun drawn when they were met by a security guard on duty inside. 

The guard fired five shots at the two suspects before they fled on foot.  No one was injured in the incident.  Both suspects are described as being of average height and weight. 

One was wearing light colored pants, white shirt, and beige bandana over his face. 

The second was wearing dark pants, dark shirt, white tennis shoes, and white bandana over his face.  The two were last seen running northbound on North Dean Road. 

Auburn officers, assisted by Opelika Police Department K-9 officers, searched the area but did not locate the suspects.
