Man who allegedly went on shooting spree with AK-47 arrested

AMERICUS, GA (WTVM) - Americus police have arrested a man accused of killing one person and injuring two others after allegedly going on a shooting spree outside an Atlanta convenience store last month.

Twenty-four-year-old Eric Stone is currently in the Americus jail.  He faces multiple charges including murder and aggravated assault. 

Police arrested Stone just before 10:00 p.m. Tuesday  at a home in the 200 block of Bessie May Circle in Americus.

Investigators say Stone is from Atlanta but has relatives in Americus.

The shooting happened in Atlanta on September 14th.  One man died and two others were injured, a woman pregnant with twins and an 18-month-old toddler.

Americus police say Stone could be transported to Atlanta as early as tomorrow.
