COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  Two teenagers are facing charges in Columbus after police say they were caught throwing rocks off an overpass at cars driving on Interstate 185.

A Muscogee County School bus driver called police after a rock was thrown at her bus on I 185 Northbound at Manchester Expressway Wednesday afternoon.

Officers say they caught the 15-year-olds throwing rocks onto a nearby bike trail on East Lindsay Drive and arrested them, charging them each with Criminal Damage to Property in the 2nd Degree.

According to police reports, the bus driver and another witness identified the duo as the juveniles they saw throwing rocks at their cars.

Major Julius Graham says he does not yet know if this is connected to the recent incidents involving Muscogee County school buses.

The teens were released to their parents.
