High school student robbed at gunpoint

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  Columbus Police are searching for the man they say robbed a Carver High School student at gunpoint.

The 18-year-old victim tells officers he was approached by a gunman at Marion Street and South Dixon Drive Sunday night who threatened to shoot him.

The teen handed over a necklace and hat.

The suspect is described as a black man around 20 year old with dreadlocks and slim build, wearing a white shirt and black pants. Reports indicate the suspect goes by the name of "Thug."
