Spring Opera House to invest $11M in community

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) – The Springer Opera House in Columbus, GA made a major economic announcement on Monday afternoon.

It announced a $11.5 million campaign called "Set the Stage". We are told it is a restoration project to create classrooms, green space and a teaching facility for children all over the community.

A long-time supporter of the Springer Opera House, donated $3 million-- about $ 4 million came from community  from community donations will kick off the project.

Phase one of the project is expected to begin immediately. Hect Burdeshaw will be the architect.
