LaGrange checkpoint leads to drug arrest

LAGRANGE, GA (WTVM) -  A traffic checkpoint in LaGrange leads to the arrest of a man officers say was dealing meth and cocaine.

LaGrange police set up a safety checkpoint on Commerce Avenue Friday and officers noticed a suspicious car.

The car parked and two men got out and started running.

They were caught in the woods nearby and police say one of the men, Brandon Richardson had six hits on methamphetamine on him and several slabs of crack cocaine.

Richardson was charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine and Cocaine.
