Georgia GOP Bus Tour Stops in Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) -- A bus full of state Republican candidates including Nathan Deal, Georgia's Republican candidate for governor, and U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson visited the Fountain City Monday afternoon -- a week before the November election.

Deal told several dozen Columbus supporters in Lake Bottom Park more families are struggling to make ends meet with unemployment in Georgia over 10 percent.

U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson says if re-elected as a senator, he'd continue to fight for the private sector by lowering taxes, repealing and replacing the health care law, and ending thoughtless spending.

The Georgia Bus Tour will make a total of 24 stops around the state with the last one on October 28th.

Democrat Roy Barnes will make a stop in Columbus Tuesday at Columbus Technical College between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. ET.
