COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Monday marks the start of "Georgia Apply to College Week" and high schools all over the state are making sure students are ready for the next step in their education.

As News Leader Nine found out, getting ready for college is as easy as a click of the mouse.

When you need information over the phone, you dial 4-1-1. And if you're a high school student and need information on college, you can click on Georgia College 411.

For the third year in a row Georgia is hosting the campaign at more than 100 schools all over the state, helping students apply to college in the easiest way possible.

The website is a one stop shop for students to find schools, enter their test scores, pick out majors and hear testimony from new college students.

Schools like Chattahoochee County High School and Carver High School will have volunteers on hand this week that will walk students through the application process and to answer any questions they may have.

To find out if your child's school is holding an event for "Georgia Apply to College Week", check with the school's guidance counselor.

Even if the school isn't hosting an event, students can sign up on the website as early as the seventh grade. For more information and you get your child started on the track to college click on
