COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -   A Columbus woman is facing charges after police say she stabbed her boyfriend during a dispute.

Thirty-two-year-old Jacqueline Green is charged with aggravated assault and possession of a knife during the commission of a crime.

She is also charged with three counts of cruelty to children since the stabbing took place with children present.

Reports indicate Green stabbed  25-year-old Troy Brown twice in his left leg with a knife Wednesday night in the driveway of a home on 23rd Street in east Highland.

Police say the domestic dispute escalated from a verbal to a physical assault.

Brown was taken to the Medical Center for treatment and Green was arrested at the scene.
