E. Alabama murder suspect turns self in, one still on the run

TROUP COUNTY, GA  (WTVM) – Authorities in west Georgia say a murder suspect has been arrested 

Alabama fugitive, Alan Higgins, turned himself into the Roanoke, AL Police Department Tuesday. 

He was arrested on city charges, but we are told investigators from the Randolph County Sheriff's Department will question him regarding a murder that occurred Monday afternoon.

It's not known at this if Higgins is facing any other charges.

Meanwhile, authorities need your help finding another person of interest, 38-year-old Herman Green. 

Authorities in Randolph County tell News Leader 9 the murder occurred Monday around 3 pm.

Officers found 57-year-old Roger Bailey slumped over in his truck on County Road 645. He died from a gunshot wound to the back.

Green is described as a white man, with brown eyes and red hair. He stands around 5'11" and weighs about 155 pounds.

The Alabama Bureau of Investigation is assisting with this case.
