COLUMBUS, GA  (WTVM) –  A Muscogee County grand jury has indicted two suspects for the October 1st murder of a man in the city's east side.

Jashard Maddox, 15, and 20-year-old Jeffery Jones are accused of killing 19-year-old Mercer Gadsden.

Investigators say, the duo got into an argument with Gadsden over money and drugs at a home located on Forrest Road near Gleason Avenue.

Jones allegedly pulled out a gun and shot Gadsden twice – once in the chest and once in the right thigh.
