Columbus men caught breaking into high schools

COLUMBUS, GA  (WTVM) -   Two men are facing burglary charges after police say they broke in to two high schools in Columbus.

Officers arrested 30-year-old Richard Gibbs and 34-year-old Robert Gibbs over the weekend.

Police say they broke into Carver High School on 8th Street and the old Baker High School on Benning Drive.

Investigators say the two men were trying to steal copper pipes from the school.

Officers say the duo used hand tools to steal pipes and they were caught in the act.
