LEE COUNTY, AL - On December 22, 2010, at approximately 11:19 AM/CST, the Lee County Sheriff's Office arrested Errington Woodham (18), of Phenix City on (4) four counts of Robbery in the First Degree.
Woodham is currently being held in the Lee County Detention Facility on a ($400,000.00) four hundred thousand dollar bond.
These charges stem from Woodham being linked to a home invasion robbery in the following reported event:
On May 27, 2010, at approximately 6:30 AM/CST, the Lee County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call from the residence of 230 Lee Road 307 Phenix City, Lee County, Alabama.
The caller advised that they had been robbed by three black males who had kicked open their front door. The three intruders were armed with various weapons (one with a shotgun and two with handguns) and wearing bandanas over their faces to disguise their identity.
After hitting one of the people in the home with the butt of the shotgun, the offenders tied up three of the five people inside the home with electrical cords and forced them to lay down on the living room floor.
The robbers then took various property (cell phones, laptop computers, television, cash, etc) from the victims' home. The three suspects then fled the residence and no one was seriously injuried in this incident.
One suspect in this case, Darius Dungelo Carr (19), of Smith Station, was arrested on August 23, 2010, by the Lee County Sheriff's Office for his involvement in this home invasion robbery.
Carr was arrested after citizens in Macon, Georgia called in a tip to Lee County Crime Stoppers. He is currently being held in the Lee County Detention Facilty on a the same charges as Woodham.
