Sheriff: Bust nets $250,000 worth of drugs

COLUMBUS, GA  (WTVM) – Muscogee County Sheriff John Darr announced to the public Tuesday afternoon that nearly $250,000 worth of drugs are off the streets of Columbus.

The sheriff told the public that Spencer Hardison, in his 40s, was arrested at his home on Windham Court off Forest Road on December 21st.

His arrest resulted the removal of nearly a quarter million dollars worth of drugs including 51 pounds of marijuana and 8 ounces of cocaine.

Hardison was charged with felony trafficking of marijuana, felony trafficking of cocaine, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and parole violation.

We are told Hardison has already had a a preliminary court hearing. His case was bound over to the Muscogee County Superior Court and he will be held without bond in the Muscogee County Jail.
