EAMC restricts patient access

OPELIKA, AL (WTVM) – The flu is in full effect this season. Because of this, the East Alabama Medical Center is restricting visitation at the hospital.

The move is an effort to guard its most sensitive and fragile patients as well as the young.

Visitors to the third floor need to be 19 years or older.

Visitors with flu-like symptoms are asked to stay away from the hospital—unless they are seeking treatment.

The third floor houses the mother-baby and pediatric units.
