COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM)- Columbus Water Works customer's can tack on additional $2.00 to their monthly water bill and Georgia Power customer's will See a $10 increase to their monthly bill. Both companies are calling for the hike because of maintenance and sustainability issues.
Starting January 1st 2011 those increases will go into effect. The approval for the increase fir Columbus Water Works came at the beginning of December of last year. Georgia Power's increase was approved two weeks ago after the Georgia Public Services Commission voted on the rates case in Atlanta.
