Arrest made in liquor store robbery

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  One of Columbus's latest crimes is now one step closer to being solved.

News Leader Nine first told you of an armed robbery at the B & C Beverage on 10th Avenue that happened Friday morning. Now one of the three suspects from that armed robbery is in jail.

Police tell us 20-year-old Akeem Johnson was arrested at his home on Bragg Smith Street Saturday night.

He is facing armed robbery along with some drug charges. Police say more charges are pending. Johnson is being held in the Muscogee County Jail and will appear in Recorder's Court Monday afternoon.

One of the other suspects in this armed robbery is 23 year old Earkus Donylle Porter. He is a black man weighing 155 pounds and standing at 5'10''. He has tattoos on both his arms.

He has been on the run since the robbery and Columbus police say he is considered armed and dangerous.
