3 Georgia men charged with bootlegging

GAINESVILLE, Ga. (AP) - Three Gainesville residents have been arrested in connection with a bootlegging operation.

The Hall County Sheriff's office said 73-year-old David Mendoza Ayala, 32-year-old Domingo Martinez and 30-year-old Miguel Hernandez were charged with sale of alcohol on a Sunday and sale of alcohol without a license.

The three were arrested after authorities raided two mobile homes in a Gainesville trailer park and found beers and less than an ounce of marijuana.

Lt. Scott Ware of the county's narcotics squad said that an informant tipped off authorities about the bootlegging operation.
