MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - An Auburn fan who says a Birmingham-based company reneged on a deal to sell him tickets to Monday night's national championship football game has filed a lawsuit.
E. Abel Arcia, a New York City attorney who went to Auburn in the 1980s, filed the suit Thursday in Mobile County District Court.
Arcia said he bought two tickets for $713 apiece from Southeastern Tickets Inc. on Nov. 30.
Arcia says the company was supposed to mail him the tickets. He says when he checked this week, the company told him it couldn't sell him the tickets and his credit card had been credited.
Arcia says the company told him a broker had failed to come through, but he says the company still has tickets for sale with prices now ranging up to $11,000.
