COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - A woman tried to pass a counterfeit bill at Kentucky Fried Chicken on south Lumpkin road in Columbus Wednesday afternoon.   According to police reports, the woman gave the store clerk a $20.00 bill to pay for her food while at the drive-thru.

The clerk checked the currency before handing the woman her order and determined it was forged. When the clerk notified the woman that the money was fake, the woman appeared surprised and proceeded to pay for her food with another $20.00 bill that was legitimate.

Police reports indicated the customer drove off in a blue Ford Explorer and was not at the store when police arrive.
