COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Janice Taylor has waited for this day for as long as she can remember. She traveled an hour down the road from Eclectic, Alabama to Auburn for Saturday's celebration.

"I didn't want to miss out on anything. I've been here for every game, we went to the championships, why miss out on the final celebration," Taylor said.

Taylor is one of seventy thousand people who came out to the celebration at Jordan Hare stadium. Among the crowd, a group of Auburn students who broke away from their studies to come out and celebrate in orange jump suits.

"I've got like fifteen or twenty jump suites I bet you could do something creative with them and I was like I bet we can."

Freddie Grey and her family braved Saturday's windy weather and watched the celebration from the upper deck.

"I  think it's totally worth it to be up this far, just being in this atmosphere today, the family being all in this makes it worthwhile," Grey said.

Gray is not alone, others on the deck agree that being together is the spirit of the celebration no matter where you sit.

"It's absolutely fantastic to see everybody come together as one and have this outstanding team before us it's truly amazing."

Freddie Gray says the support Auburn gets from its fans is like no other.

"To see so many people stand behind a team that stood in the face of adversity and that were able to overcome everything that was thrown at them, I thing makes for a good celebration for everyone," Gray said.
