Man careens stolen car into wooden wall

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  A man is facing a host of criminal charges after he lost control of the wheel and crashed a vehicle into a wooden retaining wall. 

Columbus police said the driver was traveling at a high rate of speed on Earline Avenue around 3:15 Monday morning when the accident happened.

When officers ran a check on the license plate, the report indicated the Dodge Neon as stolen. 

The unidentified driver was taken to Columbus Regional for treatment, but he is expected to make a full recovery.

The man faces several charges which have not been released.
