COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM)- AJ Reese is getting the opportunity of a life time. On Sunday morning he will head to Atlanta where he will audition for a spot on the T-V show, America's Got Talent. Reese says a simple click on a Facebook Ad is what led him to getting an audition.

"I automatically jumped on it, clicked on it signed up as fast as I could and told everybody, everybody said okay got everything cleared got all the paper work done," Reese said.

AJ has been playing the guitar since he was 10 years old. He first showed interest in music and performing at the age of two.

"AJ has always been a musical child one year old rocking in the play pin while mama's cleaning the house," Angela Woodard said.

AJ's mother Angela Woodard says her son's commitment to music leaves her speechless.

"I'm so impressed by the dedication that he has the thrill and the want to, to never stop trying and improving constantly," Angela Woodard said.

AJ's mentor and musical coach John Jackson agrees and says that he's very talented young musician.

"I consider him a prodigy at 16 absolutely, I've been playing guitar for 30 years and he give me lessons now," John Jackson said.

For AJ it's not about the money, it's about doing what he loves to do and hopefully starting a career.

"I at least want to get people to recognize me and have this be the start of my music career," Reese said.
