Ala. casino owner's bond revocation date delayed

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - A federal judge has postponed a hearing for one week on whether to revoke the bond of Country Crossing casino developer Ronnie Gilley.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Terry Moorer delayed the hearing from Monday to Feb. 7 at the request of Gilley's attorney, who said the developer needs treatment in Birmingham for a medical condition.

Prosecutors did not oppose the request.

Prosecutors have asked the judge to revoke Gilley's bond in Alabama's gambling probe because they say he tried to stop his former lobbyist from pleading guilty to bribing legislators.

Gilley's attorney says nothing happened.
