Trial delayed in slaying of Lee County deputy

COLUMBUS, Ga. (AP) - Authorities say the capital murder trial of a Georgia man accused of killing an Alabama sheriff's deputy during a routine traffic stop has been delayed until fall.

Authorities say 32-year-old Gregory Lance Henderson is accused of killing 39-year-old Deputy James Anderson during a September 2009 traffic stop.

Authorities have said Henderson used his vehicle to intentionally kill the deputy by running over him.

Henderson has pleaded not guilty.
