Columbus Regional February 2011 Live Smart

Heart disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women.  There are many types of heart disease, including coronary artery disease, arrythmias, heart failure, congential heart disease, cardiomyopathy and pericardial disease.

You don't have to be a victim of heart disease. Become an active participant in your own healthcare-- have a discussion with your doctor about your heart's health and know the symptoms of heart disease. It's important to know that the symptoms are very different for men and women. In this month's Live Smart, Dr. Vibhuti Ansar, explains those differences and how women may experience the symptoms up to a month before a heart attack.
