Search teams rescue missing Auburn man

47-year-old Thomas Brewer has been missing since Monday night. 47-year-old Thomas Brewer has been missing since Monday night.

AUBURN, AL (WTVM) – Search teams have found an east Alabama man who went missing Monday night.

A tactical teams and a helicopter located Thomas Brewer, 47, about a quarter-mile from where his vehicle was abandoned.

He was discovered Wednesday around 9:15 a.m.

Thomas, of Auburn, was conscious and alert at the time of his rescue. He was flown by Lifesaver to Columbus Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Authorities feared for his life Tuesday morning when workers at the Northside Pollution on Richland Road discovered Brewer's truck abandoned and stuck near a creek behind the facility.

It appears he crashed through the gate at the facility Monday night or early Tuesday morning.
