Lafayette, Ala., duo charged with killing woman denied bond

LAFAYETTE, Ala. (AP) - Two people accused of robbing and killing a woman last November in Valley, Ala., have been denied bond.

Thirty-six-year-old John Bradley Limes and 35-year-old Leslie Lea King were in Chambers County court Friday in connection with the death of 59-year-old Kathlene Lucile Landino. Authorities say Landino was found dead Nov. 23 by her son in their home.

Authorities say she died from head trauma and her throat had been cut.

Prosecutors say Limes and King attempted to steal a purse, laptop, cell phone, 12-gauge shotgun, security box and several DVDs belonging to Landino.

King is the estranged wife of Landino's son.

Limes is being held in the Randolph County Jail, and King in the Chambers County Jail.
