COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -  Columbus Police Chief Ricky Boren says arrests will be made in the rape investigation underway at Spencer High School.

So far no one has been charged but the case stems from allegations made by a 14-year-old student who says she was raped by several male students in a weight room Friday.

Columbus Police say the original information they received was that the victim was having voluntary sex with one teen when several other male students came into the room, saw what was going on and raped her.

The age of consent for sex in Georgia is 16.

Detectives are conducting interviews today, trying to get to the bottom of what exactly happened.

A spokeswoman for the Muscogee County School District says the incident remains under investigation.
