MEDFORD, OR (CNN) - A little boy's quick thinking has earned him the title of hero.
Robby Hoak, only six years old, called 911 after he found his mother passed out on the floor of their Oregon home.
"I tried to talk to her. And, I said, 'Mom, are you okay? Mom, are you okay?' And she said, 'Unh,'" he recalled. "I thought she was gonna die."
Robby knew his address, knew to call 911 and listened to instructions from the operator.
Thanks to Robby, his mother received the medical attention she needed within minutes and now she's ok.
"I lost 25 minutes. I don't remember any of it. And I came to when paramedics were already here," said Michele Hoak, Robby's mother. "And, so, I do, I think he's a little hero."
Robby's dad says this should be a lesson to parents with small children.
"They need to know how to get their parent's cell phone off lock. They need to know how to dial 911," said Tommy Hoak.
