COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - The public is invited to attend a public hearing on the construction of Carver High School.
The meeting will be held Thursday at 6:00 p.m. at the Muscogee County Public Education Center located on Macon Road.
Organizers hope to share with the public any information on the status of the construction project and the effect that this new project will have on surrounding communities.
In addition, officials hope to address the questions and concerns of the public.
The new facility will replace the now demolished Carver High School. The principal tells News Leader 9 the school will have state-of-the-art technology. "Nobody in our county is going to have what we have in our building when this is complete. We're going to be the most updated facility there is in the Muscogee County school district," said Christopher Lindsey, Carver High School principal.
We are told smart boards, or interactive touch-screen white boards, will be in every classroom.
Construction of the new facility is expected to be complete in Fall 2012.
